John Louis Ricchiardi, 64, of Carlinville, IL died Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. John was born December 2, 1952 in Carlinville to Louis and Lena (Draghi) Ricchiardi. He married Debra Liay June 6, 1981 and they later divorced.

John was a Carlinville Community High School graduate with the class of 1970. He owned and operated Ricchiardi Clothing and he retired as a Correctional Officer with Macoupin County in April of 2016. He was a member of The Moose Lodge, Carlinville Elks, and the Macoupin Club where he enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Dena Liay Rogers. Survivors include: his 2 sons; Jason (wife Jamie) Ricchiardi, John M. (Mary) Ricchiardi, brothers; Larry (wife Sherry) Ricchiardi, Terry (wife Judy) Ricchiardi, 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
