Minnie D. Smith, 90, of Carlinville, IL passed on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at her home in Carlinville, IL surrounded by her family. She was born February 25, 1927 in Virden, IL to John and May (Baietto) Bigando. Minnie married John A. Smith, September 25, 1954 in Edwardsville, IL.

She is preceded in death by her husband John and an infant daughter, Judy.

Minnie worked at the Carlinville Glove Factory for many years and truly loved being a homemaker and grandmother.

Survivors include: her son, Larry (wife Tracey) Smith of Carlinville, IL; granddaughters, Emma and Kaci Smith of Carlinville, IL; brother, John Bigando of Carlinville, IL, and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Minnie's Life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017, 10am at Moore Cemetery.
