Judith LaDora Fones, 72, of Carlinville, IL passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Carlinville Rehab & Health Care. She was born February 28, 1945 in Nilwood, IL to Glen Thomas and Donnaselle (Jones) Sturgeon.

She is preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Mark Reynolds; sister, Nancy Sturgeon; grandson, Joshua Karrick, and her beloved dog Butterscotch.

Judy was a graduate of Girard High School and worked as a Beautician at the House of Beauty in Carlinville for many years. She loved crafts, gardening, décor, genealogy, and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include: her son, Kevin (wife Robin) Fones; daughter, Robin (husband Steve) Beeman; grandsons, Robert McDaniels and Devyn Fones; granddaughter, Camryn Fones; great granddaughters, Bailey Striplin and Masyn McDaniels; brother, Thomas Sturgeon, aunt, Mern Reynolds, and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
