Obituary for Roger A. Bristow

Roger Bristow, 50, left us on September 9, 2017 to be with our Lord. Roger bravely fought his cancer and taught us all so much about faith in the process.

Roger grew up in Palmyra, IL and enjoyed being a “farm kid” who loved hunting and fishing.

He spent over 30 years working as a Maintenance Mechanic in the industrial beverage production sector. It was a career he loved, one that took him world-wide, and he was great at it. That man could fix ANYTHING!

Roger’s greatest passion, though, was his family. Roger is survived by his wife, Jan (Loving) of Palmyra, IL; his parents, Raymond and Donna (Schuetz) Bristow of Palmyra, IL; a brother, Rod (Catherine) Bristow of Lexington, KY; sons, Andrew of Carlinville, IL, Jordan of Palmyra, IL, Nathan (Hope) of Springfield, Quinton of Eureka, MO, Nolan stationed in Guam, and Logan of Palmyra; several aunts and uncles, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held September 16th, 2017 at Loami Christian Church in Loami, IL from 2-4pm.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4pm with a meal to follow.

We are grateful for the kind and compassionate care that Heinz Funeral Home of Carlinville provided for Roger.

Memorials can be made to the family and will be gifted to charities to be determined at a later date.
