Doris Jean Gagnor, 84, of Carlinville, IL, died Friday, January 5, 2018 at Red Bud Regional Hospital. She was born May 22, 1933 in Madison County to Floyd Earl and Carrie Fern (Hodge) Pruett. Doris married Ardo Gagnor on May 25, 1985, and he preceded her in death in 2015.

She is also preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Bob Pruett, and her sister, Helen Castelli. Survivors include: her son Dave (wife Mary Anne) Hopper of Waterloo, IL, step-son Mike Gagnor of Carlinville, IL, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Doris was a bus driver for both the Bunker Hill and Carlinville School Districts for many years and a caregiver to many. She enjoyed cooking, flowers, getting together with her friends at the lake and Moose, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Carlinville Moose Lodge.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 3 – 7 p.m. at Heinz Funeral Home in Carlinville, IL and Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 9 – 10 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church.

Funeral service will be Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Timothy Wilcoxen officiating.

A luncheon at the Moose Lodge will follow the service.

Family and friends may attend the burial service at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, IL at 2 p.m.

Memorials may go to the Zion Lutheran Church.
