Obituary for Carol Sue Kraft (Neunaber)

Carol Sue (Neunaber) Kraft passed from this world on February 7, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL surrounded by her family. She was born on June 26, 1942, to parents Norman & Lois Neunaber. Carol married John Kraft on April 17, 1989.

Carol was a 1960 graduate of Carlinville High School. She spent her life providing care to others, working at Community Care for over 25 years. She continued to provide care even after her retirement. She was a guardian angel for her siblings and extended family, a natural at serving and helping others with amazing grace. Her faith was demonstrated through acts of kindness to all. As a member of Carlinville Zion Lutheran Church, Carol served as member of Zion Lutheran Ladies Aid and several church boards. She volunteered at the Carlinville Food Pantry and provided assistance to her many elderly friends. Carol was a great cook, a good homemaker and hard worker. She was host for all holidays for her family and had a great sense of humor and made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. She had an amazing way of saying the right thing at the right time and always giving sage advice. Carol certainly made the world a better place by her many acts of kindness, her genuine commitment to meet the needs of those around her, whether it be a total stranger or a dear friend.

She is survived by her husband, John Kraft of Carlinville; her mother, Lois Neunaber of Carlinville and her children; Tony (Connie) Jenkins of Springfield, IL, Angie (Danny) Coy of Palmyra, IL; grand children, Dane & Skyler Coy and three great grandchildren; siblings, Connie Neunaber (Bob Billings) of Longview, TX. Cathy Neunaber of Carlinville, IL. Merle Neunaber of Nilwood, IL and Millie (Rick) Releford of Lincoln, IL. Also surviving are her step children, John Kraft Jr and Debbie Ornsby of Joplin, MO. and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Neunaber.

A visitation will be held Friday, February 9, 2018 from 4-7pm at Heinz Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 10:30am at Zion Lutheran Church in Carlinville with a luncheon to follow.

Burial will take place at Morrisonville Cemetery.
